Why Hello There!
About a month ago, we (The A&D mods) posted a poll topic in the Art and Design General Discussion section. We wanted to know what YOU wanted to see as far as contests and competitions go. You gave us your input, and, in conclusion, a Photography Contest came up as the most popular idea! Thank you to everyone gave us feedback and suggestions! You may even see several of the other ideas pop up as a competition!
After some deliberation, osiris and I concluded The "Weekly Snap" was the way to go!

Summer is here!

Alright, since it's summer, and Mario kart for the wii is now out (TODAY WEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!, unless it got delayed and I didn't hear about it >>)
I'M LOOKING FOR STAFF FOR LETSWIFI.NET
So, the idea of this website:
- Ability to make teams
- Communicate & exchange friend codes
- Discuss games
- Focus on Wii & DS
This project will be set up over the summer, as I have some insane five month summer forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />. I'm familiar with Wii, so I'd like a few people who are particularly familiar with the DS.
SO:
News Writers --
Objective: Keep up-to-date and surf the web for the latest Nintendo news, post about it, etc.
How many I want: 5+
When you send an application, show me a sample news post that you've written so I can see your sentence structure, grammar, etc.
Graphics Designers --
Objective: Work on random jobs that will definitely be needed in creating this website
How many I want: 2+
When you send an application, please include some examples of work you have done in the past.
Content Writers --
Objective: Keep up-to-date with the games, possibly write some reviews, strategies, etc.
How many I want: As many as I can get
When you send an application, include a review on a DS/Wii game of your choice.
Since I'm looking to recruit a lot of staff to get this project going fairly quickly, as long as you aren't an idiot and can write/photoshop you will likely have a position on this new website. Send all Applications to TML1602 [AT] gmail [DOT] com
Be sure to include the Job you are applying for in the title.
Also a new beta version of YVD 9.0 should be out in a couple of days, after this beta there'll likely be one more before the final.

The OCG is Back

I've been away for a while, preparing for Finals.
However, I've also been struggling to get the YVD 9 Beta to work for me. I just got it to work, so now, Synchro Monsters can actually work within YVD.
For you 8.6 folks, I've updated 8.6 with all of the sets that contain no Synchros. 8.6 is becoming obsolete soon, and in accord with such, I must note that a lack of ability
to support Synchros means that I rly hope 8.6 gets dropped soon.
The sooner we get 9 and X, the better. So, folks, go betatest the hell out of 9, for all our sakes.
Anyway, for 8.6, the new cards added are "Shinkin-Ou Alector", "Neos Wiseman", and "Elemental Hero God Neos".
As I've just picked up 9, every OCG card can be seen as "new" to it. However, it gained a much bigger boost in truly new stuff too...
The Duelist Genesis is here, with Duel Terminal cards, and a W-Jump Promo that has been reprinted in The Duelist Genesis.
There's also the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Official Card Game Starter Deck 2008.
They're all waiting to be used, and they're all exclusive to the YVD 9 Beta. Go betatest~!

Just for those who don't know, the above card is the signature card of Yuusei Fudou, the protagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
